IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY OUTSIDE. bIRDS ARE SINGING, FLOWERS ON BLOOMING. ON DAYS LIKE THESE, KIDS LIKE YOU... SHOULD BE BURNING IN HELL.
“ Today had not been a fun day. Sans awoke in Twilight Town after failing to defeat a growing horde of black creatures. After a brief encounter with Undyne, who he was happy to see, he found out about a certain demon child's unwelcome return. Chara. The demon that came when you called her name. The child had made Sans' life a living hell on multiple occasions. Seeing the death of his loved ones over and over again and being powerless to stop the loop had just drained him of his determination. His hope for a future that didn't result in genocide had grown- perhaps this world didn't abide by the rules of their own home?
He had encountered and fought Chara himself, but had failed to end it right there and then. Right now he wanted nothing more than to have everyone back together again. Asgore, Toriel, Undyne, Alphys, Frisk, and Papyrus... Well, he could dream.
The skeleton spotted some familiar shadows dancing around in the corner of his eye. Man, these things would NOT leave him alone, would they? He was too drained and bruised to fight the horde again- a few dents and bruises covered his frail bones, and he was running out of his magic energy. Sans hadn't even bothered to rest, he couldn't sleep easy knowing these things could be out hurting his friends, especially Frisk and Papyrus, since those two wouldn't hurt a fly. He wasn't sure if they even had the will to finish these shadows like he did.
Running around a corner, a glow surrounded the skeleton as he vanished into thin air. Teleporting into the familiar alleyway where he woke up, Sans fell to his hands and knees when he emerged from the warp spell. He was really pushing himself today. Right now the skeleton just felt like collapsing and going to sleep, but he couldn't. Not as long as his friends could still be in danger. There might not be a reset to fix any wrongs this time around.
His battered and bruised skull raised as his blurred vision caught the sight of someone approaching. He was too drained to respond or even make out the figure- between all of the magic he used to fight off the Heartless, Chara, and teleport here, he was running low on fumes. His hollow eye sockets managed to affix themselves onto the person he saw approaching as the skeleton tried to stand back on his two feet.

Well, this world seemed a lot nicer. It was brighter for one thing, even though the past several hours had been nothing but twilight. That left the name of this place very understandable. He would rather a constant twilight than a constant night. Sin tugged his jacket a little tighter around him, keeping the hood up as much as possible. Like he had in Traverse Town, he was first scooping the place out to see what world was all about. It was a little more friendly from the looks of it so far, seeing more people wandering around than the last place he had found himself in.
The blond was glad he had figured out how to hitch a ride off that world and to a new one. He hadn't been able to find anything that he could be really useful with there. There looked to be more prospects here which was a positive thing for a hapless drifter like him. He took a deep breath, just about ready to build up the courage to find somewhere to hole up for the ... well, what he felt was an acceptable time to call "night." He couldn't remember the last time he had actually slept, what with all the coffee he had been drinking. Now he was starting to feel the affects of way too much caffeine wear off.
His boots scuffed along the stones as his crimson eyes searched for any kind of sign that he could find a room for the time being. However, that was not the first thing that he found. A sound drew his attention from an alley way. Self preservation was never his strong suit so the young man did the first thing that came to mind and turned to investigate. He did take some caution, moving slowly to try to make out what he was walking in on. His foot steps actually slowed when he saw what looked like a skeleton in a jacket.
It was moving. Why was a skeleton without any muscle moving? Sin's jaw dropped in awe and confusion. What the hell are you? He muttered, more to himself than ... whatever he had stumbled across. The shifter drew a little closer and leaned down, noticing that the skull seemed to be looking at him. Guess you're alive then. You ... okay? He asked tentatively, very unsure if he was actually talking to something that understood him, or something that could be akin to those shadow things that came out of the wood work.

“ The skeleton had managed to get back on his two feet, but had his boney hand against the wall as he tried to keep his balance. Pupils reappearing, the skeleton's vision finally solidified on the human in front of him. Well, most of the humans had given him odd looks like this one did- but they always distanced themselves from him instead of approaching. Heck, this human could kill him right now if he wanted to- Sans already felt like his body could split apart and get dusted at any moment. The multitude of threats arising and being all alone had taken a toll on the small skeleton- physically and mentally. " * well, i'm not dead yet... but aside from that, meh. could be better. "
The skeleton still tried to act casually despite his dire condition. It was hard to rattle him- even when he fought with Chara in that cursed timeline, the skeleton never showed any weakness, even when he was struck down by the child. His voice was hoarse and forced though, like it hurt just to speak. Sans was fragile and weak, despite his massive weaponry and array of skills at his disposal. The pupils in his hollow eye sockets would sometimes dart around, still paranoid of the Heartless or Chara showing up when he was weakest. However his HP was still 1/1. And it would stay that way until he found his brother.

Sin's shoulders tensed as the skeleton began to talk. It was moving and able to stand on its own. Mostly. It was supporting itself against the wall, but was otherwise holding itself up right. His hand twitched as if he were about to reach out to help the skeleton. He wasn't sure of his own welcome though so he stopped himself, fingers curling back.
I ... umm ... Is there some way I can help? The blond asked, shifting forward a little more. This was actually rather far out of his comfort zone. Yes, he often offered his help in whatever way was needed to strangers -- that was the whole reason he was here -- but he didn't really know how to take care of someone. He didn't have any kind of medical knowledge on how to treat the injured other than slapping a band-aid on a cut. This seemed quite a bit worse than that. There was also the fact that he wouldn't know how a band-aid would help a skeleton.
Still, something inside him said that he needed to stay here, to find a way to be useful. That was one of the few things he wanted for himself, to be useful. If his help was going to be excepted he might as well try can get a name rather than referring to him as Skully or something else obvious and ridiculous. So, what do people call you? He asked, phrasing his question oddly. He offered a small, innocent smile as he made himself seem as friendly as he could.

“ " * huh. that's a first. well, second actually. " Sans was pleantly surprised when the human offered to help. The only human to ever show him some kindness so far was Frisk- the rest of the humans in this town just seemed rattled by the skeleton's presence. He still wished he'd see one of his friends round the corner just about now...
" * if 'ya know any healers or anyone of the sort who can do that sort of thing, it would help. but if you've seen a taller skeleton that talks in a loud voice with a red cape or a goat lady dressed in purple, that'd also help. " Toriel was a powerful healer. She'd probably be able to bring him back to 100% in a matter of seconds. Or maybe someone around here could help him, but there wasn't a big hospital sign anywhere. Besides, there was no guarantee that they would help the monster. They were two species that were once fought in a bloody war. But hopefully with the help of their newly appointed savior and ambassador, Frisk, their image might become a bit better.
" * i mean, can take a few of those freaky shadow things, but not a hundred. " Sans briefly alluded to the Heartless- the main cause of his condition. He was honestly impressed he managed to tank this much, as the skeleton would normally go down in one hit. Odd. But he wasn't one to complain. He now managed to stand up on his own two feet with one arm wrapped around his stomach- eerily reminiscent of the time when Chara struck him down. Heck, he still somehow had that diagonal scar on his ribcage from her knife. " * but... y'know, i've had worse. "
Tanking through the pain as he stood upright, Sans did his best to show little weakness. He put his hands back in his pockets as his boney legs shook, struggling to stay upright. The human then asked him for his name. Shrugging, the skeleton closed one eye as he replied to the human casually, despite the situation. " * 'name's sans. sans the skeleton. and you? "

The blond offered his best smile as the skeleton seemed surprised by his kindness. It was what he had been raised to do, sort of. The needs of others required his attention and this ... guy obviously needed help. He settled more comfortably back on his heels as the bones in a parka spoke about healers and others like himself. There are more of you? He murmured quietly to himself, his smile fading a little. He wasn't about to say so out loud, but he was so not going out to look for them of his own accord.
He would however look for some way of making the skeleton feel better. I think I saw a place selling some kind of medicine, He offered, glancing back over his shoulder in the direction of the shops. He had no idea what potions were or how they worked, but it sounded as if they were useful and aided in bettering ones health so obviously it must be fast acting medicine. Even as the skeleton stood without falling over, he really needed something that would make him better.
His crimson gaze slowly returned to his current alley way companion as he mentioned taking on those shadow monsters. The smile was gone at the mention of them since he knew he wouldn't be able to do the same himself. Sin was at best cannon fodder in any kind of conflict despite his condition. He had been trained to be a good little pet and just do as told. He was exceptionally good at that. It was a shame that the claws he had were utterly useless. He would feel bad that he wouldn't be helpful should more of those things arise now, but he was much more interested in doing what he could and offering his name since he had been asked.
This was comfortable territory and the wicked smirk that had drawn in so many automatically pulled at his lips. You can call me Sin, He purred, the inner cat showing as his voice went a little deeper. It was a momentary thing, now completely a thing of habit when he introduced himself. The gleam in his eye softened as he recalled that he was supposed to be useful. Just stay here. I'm gonna run over to the store. With that, Sin was on his feet and halfway back to the main street quicker than a normal human should be. His speed and light fingers meant that he was at least back in record time, trying not to look behind him to make sure no one was following after him upon retrieving a potion for Sans.

“ Well, Sans assumed the human hadn't seen any of the others since he didn't seem to bring it up as he let out a soft sigh. What he'd give to see his brother right now. One thing was for sure, he had to find all of them before Chara did. His alleyway companion did bring up a medicine shop of some kind nearby. The skeleton nodded and spoke, his voice hoarse but casual. " * close enough "
The skeleton noted the human's swiftness as he soon darted down to the shop after giving him his name- Sin. The skeleton looked down at his undershirt when the human left to check for a familiar red liquid running down, but was relieved to see no trace of it. No. He was not going to die before he found Papyrus. When the human returned, Sans would pick up the potion if he handed it to him, somehow chugging it down with his teeth still affixed in his mouth. He felt his strength return to him, and some of his magic returning. " * welp. that's better. thanks. "
But now it was time to do a quick test drive. " * lemme just see if i can... " He spoke, pulling his hand out of his hoodie's pocket and reaching out to the side as his boney hand became encased by a dull blue glow. His left eye would turn a bright blue as the pupil in his right socket vanished, focusing his magic on a nearby dumpster. The oversized trash can floated up a fet feet before Sans quickly raised it up a little more before releasing his grip and letting it fall back to the ground. Great, his magic was back. He should also be able to use his blasters and bones as well now. He let out a sigh of relief as his defenses were restored. He'd speak back to the human as his eyes went back to normal, speaking with his left eye closed with a wink. Oh, yeah, Sin had probably seen him do that. " * yup. everything's back in order. did i ever tell 'ya i could make things float? probably not. " ”

Sin settled back down on his knees as he offered Sans the potion he had run off to get. There was a content look on his face, pleased to have been able to help. It was the first time since he had been displaced that he finally felt some sense of fulfillment. What good was he if he wasn't providing some kind of service for someone? He couldn't take care of himself very well, he made for terrible company in his own head. He had been conditioned to be far too dependent on others, brief as their meetings may be.
It oddly didn't even matter that his current "companion" was a skeleton. He shifted into a cat like creature, so why not? The only problem for him was that he didn't know how to use his ability to his advantage. The blond just knew that he could control it so not to hurt anyone else. That was about as good as it was going to get so it was a surprise to see others with any kind of ability showing their control over it.
His bright red eyes widened as a dumpster lifted. Sans' power was glowing, proving to the shifter that he was very magically inclined and very much aware of how to properly manipulate his abilities. The young man flinched as the metal container fell back to the ground, corners bending from the fall. Well, that was certainly one way to test how much better the skeleton was feeling. His gaze drifted back to the short magician. No, you didn't mention. I haven't seen someone do real magic like that. He glanced back once more to the dumpster then dismissed it.
He grinned at Sans, looking up at him as he knelt on the ground. I don't know much about magic. I just turn into a cat .... kind of. He shrugged his shoulder and was prepared to move on, much more interested about the strange creature he had stumbled upon. Everyone else always seemed to have a much more interesting story than he did. Sin did not give himself all that much credit. He happily moved the conversation away from himself if it ever ventured near him.
