"Alphys?"
Nothing.
"Papyrus?"
Nothing.
"Asgore?!"
Her voice was urgent, trying to obtain any answer that could be given. Of course, all she was met with was silence and some strange looks from civilians. She had.. Never seen this place before. The aquatic monster took in a deep breath, her yellow eyes shifting, trying to take in her surroundings without panicking, but of course, she was panicking beyond belief.
Undyne took a few steps back, her head spinning from the fear that was welling up inside of her - and then she stopped. Fear was an enemy she wouldn't let win. She wouldn't stoop down to its level, she promised herself internally. Quickly, she turned and simply began to walk. She didn't know where she was going, a destination nowhere in sight for her, but she decided that staying on the move would be the best option. She could.. Run into someone she knew that way. Her spears were still there to aid her call, she was fully aware of that, but it didn't really make her feel any more secure. Which was strange within itself.
So often she prided herself with being able to handle anything, without succumbing to anything and rising above it all, but.. This was something that she was not prepared for whatsoever. She thought that when they crossed the barrier, all of them would reach the other side in a massive group, but, no, things would not go so smoothly for them. Seemingly, they had all been separated, and the vision of twilight was... Something.. Different.. Than what she had imagined. She smiled nervously to herself, shaking her head; of course this was expected! It was new! Anything could happen...!
Anything... Her smile faltered and her shoulders slumped in a heavy sigh. The strong and powerful Undyne had already backed down from Frisk, and now she was backing down from this. She was being defeated time and time again, and she didn't want to accept that as reality, but the fact of the matter was, this was above her. Being in a new place and not knowing what was going on around her was fearsome, and she didn't know how to handle it.
What she would give.. Just to be by the side of someone she knew. Knowing that she was giving someone else a sense of comfort would help her more than she could put into words. She wound up in the main marketplace of Twilight Town, booths and buildings open for sale, but she didn't have any of the currency to even get herself something to eat, or a place to lay her head that night.
What a mess...
But she could handle it, right?

i3.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/027/234/5ac.png "EXCUSE ME, SIR, BUT PERHAPS YOU DID NOT HEAR ME, THOUGH IT IS UNLIKELY BECAUSE I CARRY LOTS OF IMPORTANCE AND I AM VERY COOL!! I AM THE GREAT PAPYRUS! HAVE YOU SEEN MY FRIENDS?" The resident of Twilight Town only scoffed, walking away and shaking his head about tourists. Meanwhile, "The Great" Papyrus had been left behind in the dirt. He frowned - as much as he could - and shook his head. "THIS IS VERY ODD." he thought out loud. "IS THIS WHAT THE HUMAN WORLD IS LIKE? WHY ARE THE HUMANS NOT RUNNING FROM US AS THE STORIES TOLD?" He leaned onto one leg and elbow, a large bone materializing to rest his elbow on and catch his fall. He rubbed his chin through his glove as he tried to determine what to do. The sudden disappearance of his friends had not panicked Papyrus, nor even startled him. In fact, it gave him an opportunity to run amuck in the town, without the restrictive hand of his best friend/babysitter Undyne. However, now that he had had his fun and was tuckered out, he had begun to miss him friends. And if THE GREAT PAPYRUS missed his friends, then the feelings of loss they must be feeling for him was astronomical! He had to find them for their sake! And thus, Papyrus began his asking around, accosting nearby passerby and demanding the location of any of his friends. "EXCUSE ME SIR!" He yelled at a nearby person, shaking his large bone-cane at the man threateningly. "HAVE YOU SEEN A FISH LADY, OR A GIANT FURRY GOAT KING, OR A LESS FURRY GOAT QUEEN, OR PERHAPS A SMALLER SKELETON MAKING RATHER STUPID PUNS in a voice like this, OR EVEN A YOUNG HUMAN GIRL WITH HAIR YOU HUMANS CALL "A BOB" AND EYES THAT ARE "SKWINT-EE IN A RATHER ADORABLE LITTLE SWEATER?"" The frightened and possibly recently-deaf resident pointed hesitantly in the direction of the downtown area. "THANK YOU, HUMAN! WHEN I AM CAPTAIN OF THE GUARD, I SHALL NOT FORGET YOU!" Papyrus shook the man's hands furiously, and sprinted off in the direction of the downtown marketplace, all the while announcing his presence to any passerby who rested their eyes on the sprinting skeleton. "TIS I! THE GREAT PAPYRUS, YOUR FUTURE CAPTAIN OF THE RRROYAL GUARD!"

Undyne, shifting her eyes, had finally gotten to a point where she decided the best course of action to take was to sit down, and think about the situation and convince herself to actually plan out the scenarios in front of her. They were all very real possibilities... The blue-skinned woman found a bench and sat, leaning back against the rough brick wall and crossing her arms over her chest. As she took in a deep breath, her gills flared in a frustrated manner; this was so messed up. They were all supposed to come to the surface together, but from what it was looking like, she was in a completely different place entirely. Mount Ebott was gone, nowhere to be found, but there was a massive clock tower looming in the distance.
The stories from the Underground said nothing about this place whatsoever. Undyne knew she wasn't the smartest knife in the drawer, especially compared to her girlfriend, but she could at least figure out that this was not the "surface" she was told about. This was much, much different, and the similarities were intensely lacking.
TIS I! THE GREAT PAPYRUS, YOUR FUTURE CAPTAIN OF THE RRROYAL GUARD!
Her eyes shot open, the familiar voice striking her to the core. That.. That was..
"Papyrus!" She shouted the name, jumping to her feet so fast and suddenly that she almost lost her coordination and fell straight to the ground. She began to run towards the noise, a determined scowl on her features. She wouldn't lose - she would get to him, and then they could stick together. That way, he wouldn't be alone! And.. she.. Wouldn't be alone. She rounded a corner and saw him not too far away. Even if some might had considered it in the realm of impossibility, she began to run even faster, not stopping for anything. Eventually, Undyne ran straight into him with enough force to bulldoze a rhino.
She knocked the two of them down, getting quite the glare from the civilians in the area. Most of them were already beginning to leave, probably trying to get as far away from the monsters as possible. Whatever. That was the least of her worries at the moment.
"Shit - you're here!" She said as they hit the ground, her arms gripping him tightly, probably too tight. "You stupid fucking skeleton, oh my God."

"OH, HELLO UNDYNE. YOU SEEM TO HAVE FOUND YOUR WAY ON TOP OF ME. THIS IS, AS THE HUMAN PEOPLE SAY, DAN DEE AND FINE, BUT YOU ALSO APPEAR TO BE SNAPPING MY ARM." The skeleton joked, but really he couldn't have been more happy to see his friend, even if she happened to be cutting off his arm.
Many failed cooking attempts and fighting lessons had led to a strong bond formed between the two. Papyrus had begun to rely on her when he needed assistance, which was rarely because "THE GREAT PAPYRUS" never needed aid. His large smile broke out into a cheeky grin, and he laughed aloud. "NYEH HEH HEH. DO NOT WORRY, HOWEVER! YOU HAVE NOT EMBARRASSED YOURSELF, FOR I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, HAVE ALSO MISSED YOU MY COMPANION!" The skeleton had no clue that his words might embarrass her even more by exclaiming it to any working eardrum within a 5 kilometer radius, and frankly, he didn't care.

Undyne, of course, valued her friends more than anything in this world, but she never would have thought she would have been this happy to see this dumb skeleton. He would always show up at her doorstep wanting to be trained to go into the royal guard, and Undyne had begun teaching the poor guy how to cook. It wasn't even because he wasn't strong enough to be in the guard, Papyrus was one tough enemy to defeat, but.. He was so kind.. Kind enough to the point where she didn't want him to be put in the situation where he would have to make the tough decisions to either destroy an enemy or spare them. Unfortunately, more times than not, the enemy would have to be obliterated, and the aquatic woman didn't want to put Papyrus and his good soul through such a thing.
He had such a strong and caring personality, one that had faith in everyone. Faith couldn't be bestowed in just anyone, and the head of the Guard had come to accept that at a relatively young age. If only she knew how to bestow that ideal past that thick skull.
"Oh-" She mumbled as she took into consideration what he had said, releasing her vice grip around him and quickly getting to her feet, offering a hand to assist him in doing do as well.
"Where are the others? Do you know where the hell Alphys went?" Her hands turned to tight fists, her vertical pupils averting from eye contact, fixating themselves upon the ground. "Sans?" She guessed that he would be just as clueless as she was, but.. There was never any harm in asking. She was really beginning to learn from this situation that sometimes.. Acting before thinking and planning wasn't the best way to go about things. She was pissed off, she was scared, and although finding Papyrus was comforting and obliterated the sensation of being awfully alone, they were still given one hell of a mystery.
"Where are we?"

"WELL, UNDYNE!" The Skeleton began, placing his hands on his hips and looking around. The town was not a bustling one, more of a quiet hamlet, and the few people that ordinarily walked the streets and stopped at the shops had been driven off by the raucous skeleton and fish's display.
He rubbed the back of his skull, resting his hands on his hips in a classic hero pose. "IT SEEMS THERE IS NO ONE AROUND TO ASK ABOUT THE STATUS OF THIS TOWN, AND I RECEIVED NO INFORMATION ABOUT OUR FRIENDS FROM ASKING AROUND. LOOK!" He spotted a bulletin board, and quickly ran over to it, inspecting it for any information about the town. "
LOOK! IT SAYS THE TOWN IS KNOWN AS "THE TWILIGHT TOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT!" WAIT, NO, THAT ISN'T THE NAME OF THE TOWN. DRAT! I WONDER IF IT'S IN THE HEADLINE?" He tore the paper down, scanning it closely. "PERHAPS THE NAME OF THE TOWN IS 'TWILIGHT TOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT HAS FOUND A YOUNG CHILD IN A SWEATER.' HEY, WE HAVE A YOUNG CHILD IN A SWEATER TOO! MAYBE FRISK AND THIS CHILD COULD GET ALONG ONCE WE FIND FRISK." The Skeleton was truly not the smartest bone in the body.

Listening to Papyrus speak was.. Challenging, but she made sure to not interrupt him. Undyne's yellow eyes glanced at the sign once he directed her to it, the aquatic woman seeing multiple signs that they were in a place by the name of Twilight Town. Truely enough, her intelligence was nowhere near the level of Alphys, but she did retain a bit more of it than the bonehead standing next to her. But hell, she was much too happy right now to be focusing on things of that nature. Being around Papyrus was like a dream come true in this strange new world they were in, and it seemed as though.. Wait-
Young child in a sweater?
Her pupils shifted in size to become slightly smaller at the mention, a big grin spreading across her lips and exposing her jutting, pointy fangs.
"That's her. It's gotta be!" Her voice changed to be filled with the utmost of determination - unfortunately, it would never be able to stand up to the amount of it that was harbored inside of their human friend's body. For so long, the Royal Guard Captain was so used to killing any human child that crossed her path, especially when the countdown for human souls was nearing its end. It turned out.. That the last one that was needed was a soul that was much too precious to take. Through that, she learned that maybe.. All of them may have been too precious to be stolen in the way that they were.
Undyne had come to the realization that there was still so much out there for her to learn, and her experiences underneath the ground weren't even enough to scratch the surface.
"C'mon!!" She grabbed Papyrus's bony wrist and tugged him forward, though she didn't quite know where she was going. This world was strange and foreign to her, and the bulletin board didn't exactly give them directions to the police department of this town. Undyne was just.. Winging it. At this point.
But that smile of hers never faltered. Not once. There was hope for them.

Frisk gently kicked her feet as she sat on the officer's desk, small legs hanging over the edge and she waited for her friends to arrive. She smiled and refused the officer's offer of a cup of tea, knowing she wouldn't be there long. She folded her small hands in her lap, looking into the sunset behind the glass doors of the station and losing herself in thought.
When the small girl had fallen into the Underground of her world, she certainly did not expect to make friends with skeletons, fish, and goat people. Se hadn't expected to be so warmly regarded and loved by her friends and for them to give her such power as she continued on her quest. Without her friends she never would have been able to stand against Asriel, or Asgore, or Flowey...She smiled. She was so thankful for them.
She gingerly rubbed the polished wood of the desk. It felt so weird, to be back in a human land with human furniture and materials. Or, mostly human...she'd never seen or heard of Twilight Town, and something nagged in her mind that this likely wasn't the same world as the one she had come from. She wasn't worried, though. She knew her friends would be coming for her any minute, and they'd find their way together.
Pulled out of her thoughts by a coarse cackling and raucous yelling, Frisk and every policeman in the station looked up to see Papyrus and Undyne racing towards the station to see which could get to her first, pushing each other out of the way, Papyrus pulling Undyne to the ground with his blue attack and Undyne retaliating with her spears. While other policemen looked at each other nervously and stood, Frisk hopped off the desk and ran through the door, arms out and a big smile on her face as she greeted her friends.

Both her and Papyrus were rushing toward the young girl with everything they had, throwing everything out of the window and resuming in their usual rambunctious behavior, trying to beat the other to their goal, which happened to be Frisk. Her young face was just a joyous as they had left it, which was something that made the captain of the Royal Guard start to almost tear up. Ugh, these emotions were just not in her favor, were they? It was awful. Before she had found her skeleton pupil, she had felt so alone and so without purpose. As much as she hated to admit it, she was, oddly enough, a little dependent upon others in the regard that she didn't quite know how to act for herself.
She needed something or someone to protect, and when she was all alone, she had no clue what it was she was supposed to do. But now that she was next to Papyrus (albeit being pulled to the ground by his stupid attack and throwing a few spears at him in retaliation) and was being beckoned by tiny outstretched arms, Undyne felt that sensation of home slowly beginning to return to her. It turned out that both the aquatic girl and below-par chef had gotten to her simultaneously, both of them somehow managing to fit into her arms in some sort of disgruntled group hug.
"Frisk! Frisk - oh god it's really you - thank you thank you thank you-" She was murmuring words without her minds consent, just proving how happy she as at the current moment. She wasn't even aware of all of the human eyes upon her, not right now. This was all just too fantastic. Now all they had to do was find Sans, Alphys, and.. Everyone.. Else..
And they'd all be back together again!
It was gonna be a lot of work, though.
