The darklings feet sank into soft sands, the dark suit withdrawing up to his ankles to he could feel the grains between his toes, it was an odd experience, considering he had never really gone without the protective Darkness around him. It tickled, after a few moments of the indulgence before he started closer to the warm water lapping at the beach of the abandoned play island. He could see the remains of a raft that had been built at the back, and the obstacle course built by its inhabitants, it had been maintained at the very least.
Vanitas began to walk around, golden eyes curious as he moved about the island where Sora had once called home. He now knew the name that went with his face, the one that he had gained when Ventus had fixed himself and for a moment he could recall the repulsion he had felt when he had realized that he hadn't gotten his own face back, he'd gotten a stranger's. He squashed down the feeling, not that there were any unversed coming from him for the moment. He was still too weak from his long nap with the enemy.
He wondered to himself if Sora even returned to his former home now, with all of the deeds that the residents of Radiant Garden had had to put to his name. He knew he wouldn't. This was a beautiful world, certainly, but confined like the Keyblade Graveyard had been, too. He wouldn't be able to stay for long, the need to roam would come again soon, he knew.
But for now he was content to walk along the warm sandy beaches and relax as much as he could, he had never really been given time for leisure until now and he was going to take it.
