It had been a few days since he'd landed on these islands. At first, he'd been afraid, lost, and more confused than he'd ever been before. Fortunately, he did have at least a bit of experience with alternate dimensions and realities-- one of his friends, Ben, came from a whole 'nother dimension too. This place, called Destiny Islands, was a small archipelago with one main island that people lived on. The other islands were mostly uninhabited.

It was here that he had learned about the Heartless, and the circumstances that had led to him finding himself waking up on the beach. The Heartless were small black creatures that swarmed places without a lot of light and stole hearts... apparently. Supposedly they were able to destroy and break the spacial laws of whole worlds, and that was why a bunch of people were finding themselves displaced.

Rex didn't believe for a second that his world was gone. Six, Holiday, Bobo, Noah, Circe, Caesar, all of them, everyone, just gone? Just like that? No way. They were all definitely fine, and as soon as he found a way to get back to his world, he'd meet up with everyone and they could figure out what to do about the Heartless from there. No way that his entire world could be "lost to the darkness." Nu uh.

Sitting on a dock on a small island just off of the main one, Rex stared out over the endless ocean. These worlds... didn't make sense. Outside of these islands, there was nothing but ocean. No mainlands or continents, no other cities, nothing. Just ocean upon ocean. The day after he arrived, he'd gone flying in hopes of finding something-- but nothing. Destiny Islands was it. That was weird. He'd bet Caesar would be going mad if he was here.

    A deep breath in, and a loud exhale. Destiny Islands was probably his favorite place to come to, besides Atlantica of course. These islands were fairly isolated and quiet, as opposed to the hustle and bustle and seemingly constant din of the waters in Atlantica. The locals were friendly enough, even if they did sometimes steal a second glance at his hair. It wasn't hard for him to fit in here, so he'd visited semi-often before his reformation.


    Now... The islands still hadn't changed much. The kids had grown up a lot, but not enough to make Demyx feel like an extraordinary amount of time had passed before he'd materialized back into this universe. A small, satisfied smile crossed his face Yeah, this place was good. Very good. And, true to form, there was always something to check out. This time, he had avoided going to the main island right away. The smaller ones had beckoned him as soon as he'd stepped out on the other side of his dark portal. This time, the 'something new' happened to be a boy sitting at the end of a dock on one of the last mini islands Demyx visited.

    The kid didn't look like a Destiny Island native; not with those clothes. But he was quite tan, so maybe he'd come from a place similar to this? Demyx shrugged away any caution, calling out as he stepped onto the dock and approached the figure at the end. If there was anything he was good at, it was being friendly and open. Maybe, a new purpose could be found in giving those who were lost a light to follow- even if Demyx didn't have one of his own. Even if he'd previously only helped spread Darkness. "Hello!" He greeted cheerfully, giving a little wave as he sat down next to the other. "Enjoying the awesome weather?"
