appearance
Asphyxia looks just about as cruel as she is on the inside - or.. Maybe not quite as so. She has a skin-tight black dress that clings to her gray-tinted skin. The Heartless' girl's appearance exhibits that of maybe a sixteen to seventeen-year-old girl; this allows her to fool others into thinking that she isn't as awful as she truly is. Her hair is long, reaching down to the backs of her thighs, strips of gray breaking through the main, shadowy-black color. Upon her chest there is an opening in her dress in the shape of a heart, as though representing a sick joke - at least the view makes it easier to corrupt men. The "young girl" doesn't stand up very tall, either, only being able to live up to about 5'4, making her look less threatening, but all of it is no more than a clever ruse.
Coming out of her back is a pair of small, angelic-like wings, though their color definitely shows that they are the exact opposite. They are coated with an array of dark feathers and aren't as powerful as they could be, but they can allow her momentary flight and levitation. She can control whether these are appearing behind her at any time.
At the end of her dress, there appears to be a pair of black stockings, though the visual texture of them causes it to look more like skin than anything else. Asphyxia also adorns a pair of black shoes, though the tip of them are so narrow it doesn't seem as though any sort of toes could fit within it. There is a short heel on the back as well.
personality
♥ Manipulative - Asphyxia knows the ups, downs, lefts and rights of being able to make people do her bidding by manipulation. Making them think they are doing what they want, when really it is all going according to her plan. She uses this to lure people away and do the things that all Heartless love to do - destroy and corrupt.
♥ Stone Cold - There isn't really a thing in the world that can bother her. She doesn't feel things like normal people do. She was made from an unbelievably strong heart, but that doesn't mean she has one of her own. Though she has intelligence, Asphyxia is still that of a Hearltess, and Heartless are mostly driven by instinct. Perhaps this is for the best, however. If she truly knew the hurt and pain she had caused others and could feel remorse for it, she probably wouldn't be able to stand her own existence.
♥ But There is a Soft Spot - Asphyxia does, in fact, have a soft spot for other Heartless. Shadows will flock to her, as the Heartless always ally with who is strongest; she thinks of them as her family, as they are the only ones who will be able to understand her. Of course all of that is subconscious - she doesn't get these things called emotions and attachments to other living things. These feelings she has for her "kinship" is probably the closest thing to love she will ever experience.
♡ Obsessive, to Say the Least - Whenever Asphyxia begins a task or something that she feels would benefit her, she is absolutely overtaken with the need to complete it. She will not rest until her obsession is put at ease and she is proven to herself that she has come out victorious. This also applies to when she is stealing the hearts of her victims; she won't stop until there is nothing left.
♡ Loner - Aside from her Heartless "family," Asphyxia is more or less happiest when she is alone, or at least that's how she feels at the moment. She has no idea how to communicate to anything other than her own kind in a non-violent way. Sometimes, however, being all by yourself can be a little more damaging than healing. Of course everyone needs their alone time, but when it's constant...
♡ To Be Whole - Like all Heartless, she is drawn to one, primary objective: to steal the hearts of others. Though it is illogical, her main instincts make her feel as though one day she will be able to get her hands on a heart that will make her feel completed. Though she was made from a very strong heart, Asphyxia is a coagulation of darkness and negativity, and sometimes that can be a little overwhelming for anyone. Even her.
history
Asphyxia has no memory of what her life was like before she had become what she is now. She had formed whatever consciousness she has and had awoken in the midst of the Realm of Darkness, staring down endless pathways and a pitch black, starless sky. It was there that she met shadows for the first time, and they had scuttled up to her, sitting next to her and simply spending a bit of time with the newly-formed being. Asphyxia had carefully put her hand atop one of their circular heads, finding that this was the best form of comfort at the time. This aspect about her never ceased, and it is because of this that she feels the need to protect her "brothers and sisters." Heartless to her, are not cruel whatsoever; in fact, they are the only things in this world that take the time to understand her and she will willingly get along with them, unlike anything else.
It wasn't long after this that she had learned how to control dark corridors, exploring the worlds and watching everything from a distance. She came to find that watching people happy - watching them smile, laugh, and hold the hand of someone they cared about was absolutely infuriating. She hated it with a passion she had never felt before - like a roaring, deep flame that refused to be extinguished by anything. It was insatiable, and soon enough, she began to abide by it. Using the powers of darkness, Asphyxia would overtake people, destroying their physical bodies and forcing them to give up their hearts. The first time such a thing happened, she had grabbed the bundle of light before it had a chance to waft to the sky, and her darkness tainted it beyond repair. Before her eyes, a Knight had formed out of what she had done, and it curiously walked up to her. Like before, when she was created, the Heartless woman had placed her hand atop its head, and it had calmed.
She did this a multitude of times, destroying individuals to steal their hearts and create more of her family, and soon enough, Heartless began to flock to her due to her overwhelming strength she possessed over them and anything else. During her "adventures," she had found the most amusing way to steal the hearts of others. She could channel her own overwhelming darkness and force it down their throats, denying their body of oxygen - it was entertaining. It left her prey defenseless an pitiful, her white eyes watching in amusement as the life was practically drained out of them. What this also did was corrupt the heart while it was still in their body, making it easy for it to be extracted. As soon as the physical body was obliterated this way, the heart would rise and would form into another Heartless. The pattern would repeat, the physical contact she gave the new creatures making them create a bond with her.
Essentially, this is where she is at now. She enjoys to do this on a regular basis, going around the worlds and taking people for her own selfish wants. She is also very captivated by the concept of a heart and, though she doesn't understand it, is a little jealous when she sees the things such as laughter, happiness, and love. She knows that she will never get the chance to have these things, so what is the best way to handle it?
Destroy it.
Abilities
•Darkness is Power - Asphyxia's main way of attack is using the darkness she has been granted ever since her birth. She can use this in a multitude of ways, some of which including her favorite method of destroying others, asphyxiation. (She loved it so much she decided to name herself after this concept.)
•Dark Corridor - She has the ability to channel her energy to create a method of transportation. The Dark Corridor is very common, but is also the most efficient way for her to travel from world to world and mess it up as she sees fit.
•Corruption - Not only is she able to corrupt hearts she touches, but she is able to do this with just about anything she touches. Weapons, spells, etc.. Are no match for the darkness flowing within her at all times. Any weapon that she holds is coated in a thick layer of the black energy, and gives it that extra boost of power that she can manipulate.
•Flight - Her wings aren't as powerful as they could be and she can't use them for long periods of time at once, but Asphyxia does have a pair and they can suspend her body for flight and levitation.
Weaknesses
○Turn Out the Lights - Just like all Heartless, they are drawn to light and are also weak to it. Hearts that are brimming with light are what attracts Asphyxia the most, but they are also the hardest for her to corrupt and claim for herself, though they also create the most powerful Heartless. When she is exposed to light-based attacks, they can do a large amount of damage to her, though she doesn't like to admit it. To her, the light is weak.
○Stay Away - Not necessarily from her, but she knows that her Heartless brethren aren't as powerful as she is and can't take as much damage as her - she hates to see any of them succumb to defeat an be erased from this universe. This can hurt her emotionally and, although one might only see anger and fury, she is actually in a great deal of pain.
○Keyblade - Heartless can be destroyed with any weapon, though it is the Keyblade that they are must susceptible to. When Asphyxia is attacked with a keyblade, the light brimming from the weapon is more than enough to create a harsh stinging wherever it touches. Whether she likes it or not, the keyblade is always going to be a little more than just a challenge for her.
○Arrogance - She is filled to the brim with it. Sometimes, being full of ones self isn't a bad thing and can help win in certain situations, but when it is raging at all times, it can blind the individual and common sense won't tell them when they are outmatched. One day, this is going to seriously hurt her.
