With the straining of his muscles, the Kingdom Key sliced through another Heartless, trying his best to at least thin out the Hearltess in Twilight Town. This place was what he truly considered to be his "home." It was where he was created, where he had been born - it would be the closest place to that wonderful word he'd ever get to, so he accepted it. It always caused his stomach to churn and skin to crawl when he saw those little pests scuffling around in the shadows, yellow beads for eyes looking at everything and everyone, trying to create prey out of all living things. Roxas didn't want to see that happen to any of the people here - especially... The kids.
He thought about Hayner and the gang, a pang of sadness having stricken through his body. The blond boy, in the middle of the sandlot, had relaxed some, azure eyes glued to the ground. He had yet to run into them here yet, but if he continued to spend as much time as he was here, then it was bound to happen eventually. Would.. Would they recognize him? Even if they did, what would he even say to them?
The Nobody looked around, breathing in a deep sigh when he saw that there were no other heartless showing up in the area. For some odd reason, he was reluctant to allow the Keyblade to fade back into his being, ready to be summoned again; he kept it in his hand as he walked through the alley ways, finding himself at the main marketplace. There weren't many people out today, which was odd - the weather was beautiful as always, the gentle twilight glazing the entire town over in an orange glow.
He couldn't help but recall when he had been ordered to do these things, back when he was in the banded Organization. Ever since since it had fallen apart and they had been graced with this second chance, he had taken to doing "missions" on his own time, if that's what they could even be called. Roxas knew that if the darkness wasn't kept in check, then things would begin to run haywire, and the disruption of the balance in the worlds was the last thing that anyone would need.
"One sea-salt ice cream, please." He said to a familiar clerk behind a booth, and she smiled and went to the back as Roxas pulled out some munny from his pocket, exchanging it for his favorite treat. He obtained it and made quick work of it, finally allowing the keyblade to poof back into the nothingness from whence it came. As he walked, he finished his ice cream, relishing the taste of it, having to keep his eyes from rolling back into his head. Not only it taste wonderful, but it reminded him of happy times with his two best friends atop the clock tower, which he could see standing tall and proud in the distance. Roxas smiled.
Yeah, this was definitely the place he would be able to call home.

The Headless Horseman rode quietly through Twilight Town. Although it was remarkably different from Sleepy Hollow, he liked the town due to its state of perpetual sunset. The sunlight was weak enough for the headless spook to be out and about without affecting his abilities. However, the Horseman's lack of a noggin did generate a good deal of attention from the few passers-by that were currently walking the streets. This didn't bother the phantom as he could easily hide in the shadows whenever he wanted to.
The Horseman continued on his journey, flattening some Heartless who stupidly decided to get too close to his horse's hooves. These ant-like pests didn't bother him either. They preferred living targets and the cranially-challenged spirit didn't fit that category. The Horseman rode onwards until he saw a humanoid figure up ahead. As he was currently unsure if the stranger was an ordinary human or not, he cloaked himself in the shadows. This rendered him virtually invisible to most onlookers as he approached the stranger.

There is always a certain feeling whenever eyes are upon one's body - Roxas was experiencing that full force, especially as he walked away from the people that were inhabiting the marketplace. He took a deep breath, trying his best to maintain his composure, though there was a deep disturbance inside of his mind, causing his stomach to twist uncomfortably and his chest to tighten. His jaw proceeded to clench, the sensation of his keyblade ready to summon close to him. He refused to let it fade away, at least for right now.
It was when Roxas reached one of the back alleyways that would lead to the usual spot that he actually stopped, slowly turning around. There were shadows all over the place, the twilight hitting certain objects and allowing darkness to cast various areas. There was one spot, however... He squinted his eyes, trying is best to see past the veil the dark provided, only to have his eyes then widen in shock. There was definitely something there, something that had been indeed watching him and creating that sensation of being stared at.
The Kingdom Key was suddenly back in his grasp, a beam of light appearing from the midst of his palm and forming into the blade. Roxas took a few steps back, automatically rearing down into his battle stance, ready to pounce at any moment. He hadn't a clue what it was that was hiding there, but he was sure it was something. And it didn't feel good.
"Who's there?!"

As the Headless Horseman closed in on the stranger, he sensed that this blonde-haired boy was not an ordinary boy. He followed the boy into a dark alleyway and was surprised to see the boy was, in fact, a Keyblade Wielder. The sinister spook held his sword and flaming jack-o-lantern at the ready as he allowed the shadows to disperse, revealing himself and his hellish steed. The Horseman, being such a dark entity, was vulnerable to the Light.
He watched the boy warily before responding to his question, his eerie, German-accented voice coming right out of the hole where his head should be. "No vone in particular."
