THERE IS A THIN LINE between what is good and what is evil I will tiptoe down that line but I will feel unstable Really... it was like a bad nightmare wasn't it? Running through the empty streets of the second district, Teito gritted his teeth, concentrating on the road in front of him, feet pounding the stone beneath him. Behind him, he could hear the all too horribly familiar sound of a Hawkzile. An air born military machine ex dragon that was a common type of transportation back on his home world... He wouldn't have expected to see them. But unfortunately, here they were. Him, and the two Barsburg military personnel chasing him. Leaping into the air with the use of his zaiphon, Teito concentrated and landed on a roof, before spinning around and sending an attack straight at the Hawkzile, briefly offering a silent apology to the poor unfortunate dragon within. It exploded and crashed to the ground, the two personnel within quickly jumping out and rolling to safety, on the ledge just below Teito. "Sorry kid, but we're not that easy to get rid of." One spoke up confidently, a yellow haired man with bright orange eyes. "Our orders are to bring you back to Ayanami-sama..." The other, a younger grey haired man, who barely looked out of his teens, offered Teito an apologetic look, even as he raised his stun gun towards him. Not gonna make it that easy. Teito thought in response, taking a deep breath and raising a shield of Zaiphon around himself, narrowly reflecting the stun gun's shot. The bullet, a specially modified tool of the military, flew off into the air behind him and exploded in a small flash of smoke and light. Yellow eyes appeared from the shadows, the Heartless being drawn out by all of the commotion and the presence of hearts. The older of the two jumped up onto the roof, unsheathing a short sword, electricity sparking down the length of it. The younger one stepped back and aimed once more for another shot. Not good... Two against one was unfair. Quickly, Teito brought up another shield, and began tracing his hands in the air, summoning up a surge of zaiphon. It was weaker due to needing to maintain his shield, but better than nothing. As the older of the two jumped forward, Teito dodged the initial attack just barely and responded with a slam of zaiphon into the other's back. With a yelp, the other went flying and rolled to the edge of the roof. Teito's eyes widened as he felt something pushing against his shield-- he just got a glimpse of the younger one, who had managed to make his way onto the roof-- before the shot went off. Grunting in pain as the close range attack broke his barrier, Teito let out a pained screech as the electricity tore through his body, causing spasms. Collapsing to his knees, he glared at the younger one, twitching slightly from the shock. "Don't underestimate us, just because we can't use Zaiphon." The young one said gently, crouching down beside Teito. "Don't struggle, it'll just make it harder on you, okay?" Pulling out a pair of restraining cuffs, the grey haired one reached out for Teito, before his partner suddenly spoke up... "Uh, Kiri?" The orange haired one gulped, having gotten back to his feet and backed towards the two of them. "I think we have a problem..." Both Teito and Kiri looked up, to be greeted by the sight of dozens of Heartless staring at them. They'd gotten completely surrounded... @venom - - - - - sorry for the wait!

Explosions in Traverse Town were... fairly common, actually. And yet, they were almost always something bad. Snake had learned this when his ship had made a not so smooth entrance to the borders of the town and drawn the attention of pretty much everybody living there. Though the three fighting on the rooftop wouldn't see him, Snake was creeping along towards the wreckage. New technology was always a boon but the bigger surprise came from DD locating the alive creature within.
Not much for even questioning, Snake already began to strap the oddly strong hardness to the Hawkzile before deploying the chute. He could already feel the Heartless starting to be drawn to... that shout just now. Somebody just got met with a tazer, making it easy enough for the man and his wolf to find the source.
The Heartless were beginning to circle around their awaiting prey, eager for some tasty tasty hearts. The next turn of events just might seem out of the ordinary, however. From the street, there is a grunt before a rather large wolf casually tackles down the yellow haired soldier. A vicelike grip clamped down on his arm mid jump before vigorous shaking of the head began. DD was a smart enough animal and knew that the one who WASN'T on the ground was one of the aggressors. In addition, Snake would climb up over the edge of the roof quite easily as well, immediately drawing his pistol with a bead right on Kiri.
"Drop your weapon!" He commanded. And quite a command it was. There was a significant sense of power behind his words, the instinct of 'this man WILL shoot me' being conveyed directly at the silver haired youth. Even as the boy dropped his pistol, he and Teito might notice that the Heartless were giving Snake a wide berth. Out of fear? Respect? Maybe even commanded to? In the distance, the Hawkvile is lifted up and out of combat, towards a place they don't know yet.
"Soldiers identify." He says, calmer now. Clearly, he isn't talking to the blonde, who has since stopped moving from the pain delivered by DD.

THERE IS A THIN LINE between what is good and what is evil I will tiptoe down that line but I will feel unstable The attention dedicated towards the Heartless were quickly drawn away by the sudden presence of a very large wolf appearing on top of the roof. Giving a shocked cry as it decided to tackle him and clamp down onto his arm, the yellow haired soldier gave a strangled scream of pain and began bashing his hand against the wolf's face to little effect. Kiri, noticing the predicament of his comrade, gasped in shock, his grip loosening for half a second. In that moment, the battle scarred veteran appeared on the roof, brandishing a pistol towards the two of them. Kiri, seeing it and realizing that they were in a very bad position, immediately let the stun gun drop to the ground, relaxing slightly and raising his hands in the air to show that he meant no harm, and to comply. The situation had turned on it's head very rapidly, and he certainly did not want to wind up getting shot for it. His eyes flashed to the side briefly, seeing the wrecked Hawkzile being raised into the air before sighing slightly. At least the Heartless weren't attacking, for... whatever reason. "Kiri Ayato, sir." He said obediently, before looking over at the bloody mess that had once been his comrade, eyes widening. "That... that was Elrad Conrart." His tone softened slightly, in sadness. In the blink of an eye someone had died and now he was at the mercy of another. Teito, on the other hand, had no intention of just staying in place and letting things go down like this. His entire body, still violently trembling and occasionally spasming from the effects of the electrified bullet buried in his clothes, snarled at Snake, his face a mask of hate. Like hell he was going to get captured again! Never, never again! He wouldn't let Ayanami or anyone else lay a hand on him ever again! Digging his hands into the tiles of the roof, he forced himself away from Kiri, kicking at the other with a foot. Shocked, the silver haired soldier yelped and fell to his side, while Teito slid towards the edge of the roof, fully intending to fall off. "Leave, me- alone!" He shouted at the two of them, grimacing in pain, before twisting his body to slide off safely and hopefully land on his feet. A barrier of Zaiphon glowed around his body, and the bullet from the stun gun fell and rolled down the roof, coming to a stop near the edge. He didn't care if the man who'd suddenly appeared shot him-- better off dead than taken alive. And if not, he'd been shot before. It was better than the alternative. @venom - - - - - teito's not very cooperative

It was a good thing that Kiri had so quickly given up. DD had since grew bored of mauling the fallen other and sauntered over to the large man again. That cool gaze shifted to look at the other who was giving him a death stare. Kid's got issues. Even still, Snake is a bit surprised as Teito began to roll away, reaching out at the last moment and ending up just catching Kiri.
"Wait! If you get to far away, they'll-" Venom starts while holding onto Kiri's arm to stop the boy from falling. As if on cue, the Heartless that had been eyeballing them began to swarm, immediately jumping off of the roof and after the fleeing boy. It's hard to say if Snake was controlling them or they were told to not attack, yet they still seemed perfectly content with attacking Teito.
As the Heartless swarmed down, more would also begin to creep out of the shadows to encircle him. Like a wounded animal to coyotes, Teito seemed to draw in more and more of the shadowy creatures. Up on the roof, Venom was a bit hesitant. He didn't want to leave someone who could potentially be useful behind.. but he also didn't want to let the Heartless just go at it. Plus, he already owed DD a treat for having to throw the wolf before.
"You, sit. DD, watch." Venom commands Kiri before having his companion keep an eye on the silver haired solder. He didn't stick around to see if his order was followed. After all, should Kiri bail, he'd have to deal with DD. Venom sprinted to the edge and jumped right of, landing by Teito. The Heartless would recoil from him some, beginning to angrily circle around the pair. With a deep breath, he would turn to face Teito again.
"You run or attack, the Heartless will get at you." He starts, looking over this boy. What he had used earlier... was magic. At least, it seemed so. Perhaps it wasn't as uncommon as Venom had initially thought. "So why not dial back your attitude from a 10 to a 2 and talk?"

THERE IS A THIN LINE between what is good and what is evil I will tiptoe down that line but I will feel unstable Kiri gulped slightly as the large wolf-- muzzle stained with blood, left his ex-comrade's corpse behind and returned to the man's side-- who's pistol was still clearly aimed at them. Him, make that, as the younger boy promptly decided to make his escape. Shocked, and part of him still reluctant to move in case that pistol went off from instinct, Kiri was shocked to find that the much older man instead reached out and grabbed onto him, preventing him from falling off of the roof along with Teito. He resisted the urge to react, instead peacefully remaining still and lax, obediently. Teito on the other hand was anything but. Green eyes filled with hatred towards Kiri, and uncertain fear to the other, he glared at the two of them, entire body taunt as a fiddle. The Heartless did not bother him so much, he was much more concerned with the other two in back of him. Zaiphon crackled in the air ominously, as he slowly inched away, looking like a wild animal that had gotten stuck in a trap. The Heartless continued to encircle him, their bodies melding into the shadows, filling the air and the ground. Teito wasn't particularly concerned about them. As if to prove him right, the older man leapt off of the roof with seemingly no concern, to land near him. Startled, Teito quickly moved backwards, the Zaiphon crackling even more ominously now, like electricity. The violently aggressive life force arced in the air-- and incinerated a curious Heartless that had gotten too close. "I've dealt with worse." Teito retorted, still tense and eyeing the other with anything but a calm demeanor. The Eye of Mikhail, sensing it's master's distress and fear, began to glow red, awakening in response to Teito's emotions. A new feeling filled the air, ominous and dark. Even the Heartless, sensing this, backed off further, antennae twitching. This was malevolence, a thick, syrupy sensation emanating from the Eye that clearly spoke one thing: Back off. No questions asked. "I've got nothing to talk to you about." He responded, eyes flicking up towards Kiri who was still on the roof. Kiri, much more concerned with the giant wolf he was stuck on the roof with, remained as still as possible, eyes closed. "Especially not with him around." He spat, hatred in his voice. "Let me leave before more of his reinforcements show up!" @venom - - - - - fear's a powerful motivator

Snake glanced around at the encircling Heartless who were becoming more and more agitated even as the boy spoke. Even if they held some sort of fear, they didn't seem deterred. In fact, the Heartless would just part to let bigger ones closer. Bigger ones that would match Teito's claim of 'worse'. And yet, even in the blood red eyes, Snake's cool blue looked back with a defiance that came from years of war.
"Is that really what you want? Me to leave you to the Heartless or his reinforcements? Judging by the stunner, at least the humans want you alive. Either way, you'll just keep running forever." Venom explains to the boy, crossing his arms. "Or... I could take you to a medic that you very likely need attention from and we can discuss this like civilized people." The crossing of his arms was a mixed bag of things. On one hand, it showed that he wasn't going to attack Teito and was just attempting to talk. On the other, it showed that he wasn't afraid of any magic that the boy just might so happen to have control over.
"Your choice." He states flatly, seeming to ignore the Heartless growing more and more restless. "Though best make it quick. They're hungry."
